Today is the day!
Today is Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday!
Today we celebrate a man who has helped us appreciate the natural world just that little bit more, and helped us understand that we all have a role to play in preserving the Earth's wonders for the next generation.
This man - who has very openly said he feels uncomfortable being called a national treasure - is one of a rare breed.
To his name, he has thirteen title honours, 32 honorary University degrees, five BAFTAs spread across black and white, colour, HD, 3D, and 4K television... And he has a grand total of 57 species of animals, plants and biota named after him.
He is truly a legend, and he is worthy to have made it to a century.
Happy Birthday, Sir David! May you have a wonderful birthday celebration with your family, and may you always continue to inspire us!
