When I first came across this perk and read its description “he does not hesitate to resort to deception and subterfuge if it helps the situation”, I found this very compatible to Henry’s overall navigation throughout the game. This made me think perhaps he is more like his biological father, Sir Radzig, on an innate level or rather simply aspires to be like him. I find this style of play allows a more flexible Henry who isn’t tied to village morality or naive virtues, instead he open to respond as needed on his journey, whether that be to deceive, charm, out smart, or strike fear into any opponent or obstacle in his path. This game is a role playing genre and players can choose their version of Henry be it a modest or fervent approach but I feel the “Radzig” over “Martin” perspective aligns better with the design of the game.
