What was the Jestres reaction to seeing Sir Augustine's face the first time and how did it happen.
Okay so take this with a grain of salt because I may change it. I have been SO wishy washy about how I want the face reveal to go because there are so many possibilities and options.
In my mind I have a hard time imagining that Augustine will willingly ever fully take off his helmet. Because once he does the game is up. And what if Jester doesn't like what he sees? Or what if he just gets bored of him? What if the game was all that kept the fools attention on him? He just can't bring himself to.
So it has to be a way where the choice is taken from him. There's a scene I've mentioned before after a battle where everyone thinks Augustine is dead and then he shows back up crashing his own funeral before promptly fainting in front of everyone. THATS where I think it takes place. Augustine is on the ground and unconscious but he is ALIVE. There is a rush where Monty is frantically yelling for a physician and people are trying to get him out of his armor to see what's wrong. Someone pulls off his helmet and Jester sees him for the first time and for a moment he can't drag his gaze away. Because though there is a pallor to his naturally tawny skin tone he is ALIVE and he's shockingly beautiful. More beautiful than he'd ever imagined. It almost feels wrong and too intimate to see him for the first time especially without his permission but now he can't look away. His vision quickly gets blocked by someone getting in his way as Augustine is heaved up and dragged to the infirmary and Jester is swift to follow and stay by his side until he wakes.
