singular they dates back at least since 1375, nearly 650 years ago. you as singular was argued against in 1660.

what I hear:

Closed or open they see the smallest things

Intricacies unseen by just anyone

But seen by soft eyes

The way a mouth moves

A wrist flicks

Lashes kiss a cheek

So much is seen

But never talked about

Nor acted upon

My thoughts are filled with you.

From your physical allure;
