It was all Alastor could do to get them both out of the mess he’d just put them in, ripping open a portal that dropped them into Alastor’s room and out of harm’s way. The scene of a Louisiana bayou late at night combined with what appeared to be an old - fashioned office was ... certainly a very JARRING change from the previous chaos, one Alastor would almost appreciate for how disorienting it might be for his companion. IF he was in any right state to appreciate such things.
Right now, he was MUCH more focused on the broken - off blade impaled through his torso. Thankfully it hadn’t pierced anything vital. It was simply drawing a great deal of blood, and also very painful. Not holy, so no permanent damage. Just. Pain.
“ Pull it out -- ” Alastor insisted in a static hiss, patting near the wound. “ Before I heal around it. ”
He’d left things like knives and other sharp objects embedded in his flesh for too long in the past, his advanced healing factor as a demon unfortunately meaning they were STUCK much faster than he would like. The trick here was stopping the bleeding, but he trusted Husk could manage that much.
