that boldfaced lie being said, it would go something like this:

Life after life, there is only one constant for them, and that’s the other.

It’s never easy, and it’s never quite right. There’s the noble and the peasant, the pirate and the officer of the royal navy, the Roman legionary and the Germanic tribe leader. There’s the time she watches her people drag him to the guillotine, and there’s the time he stands by as she’s accused of witchcraft.

They live, they die, they meet again. They’re always important, somehow. They fall in love, sometimes. They’re rarely happy. They never bring up those previous lives.

I’m not really sure! There hasn’t really been a story I’ve been putting off, per se....

wait. hol up. yes there is. 

I’ve been putting off writing this whole universe in which Nat and Clint’s kids -- twins who go by Nicky and Callie -- grow up, become part of SHIELD, and effectively bond with their godparents/the rest of SHIELD and the Avengers. (Bobbi and Hunter are their godparents.) At first, it was because I wanted to write the development of Clint and Nat’s relationship, but then time passed and I lost touch with the characters. Callie and Bobbi’s relationship had always been my favorite, and if there’s one thing I could get back to, it’d be that. 

(I’ve also been putting off a whole FitzHunter minigolf meet-cute AU, if that sounds more interesting! And I’ve wanted to write a Huntingbird Malibu Nights relationship study since the album came out, but that’s like only a couple days realized.)
