do you think mugm realizes/processes how comfortable (?) he is with wyll? is he startled if he does? does he try to change his mannerisms/behavior (the chirping as for instance as well as in general, trying to distance himself? maybe thinking back to previous betrayals and worrying?) after or accepts it?

i think he would have some idea, but only to the extent that it just makes logical sense that hes less tense/stressed around his teammate. hes not self-aware enough to consistently catch anything deeper than that i dont think, nor really notice himself doing any of these mannerisms unless wyll pointed them out to him
mugm consistently underestimates how much he cares about people in general until something happens and his emotions are bigger than he expected them to be. but even in these scenarios where he has these sudden flashes of awareness, mugm hasnt and i dont think he will self-sabotage like that with wyll. if it was someone else he might (he sorta did this with stormz for example), but if a connection is really precious to him, mugm doesn't tend to prematurely give up like that. hes the kind of person to latch onto it by his teeth and only when he feels genuinely provoked will he maul it to death. then he'll probably linger on it for a while even if he thinks hes killed it. think about the way he kept trying to find connection in some way, any way, to nezo even after his betrayal—only after nezo essentially called him a weapon did he stop going out of his way to talk and hunt. hes very extreme about those sorts of things
as for worrying about betrayal from wyll, i dont think thats a serious, reoccurring anxiety in mugm's mind anymore. LE are literally so ride or die that theyre divinely-described extensions of each other. i think any worries mugm has atp are stuff like "is wyll mad at me for dying???? :("
