KENTA: Your room is right this way, ma’am.
As Audrey got up from her seat to follow him, Bailey accompanied her. He knew where she was going to sleep tonight: his childhood bedroom on the third floor.
AUDREY: You were kidding just now, right?
BAILEY: I’ll tell you more when we get there.
They finally reached the bedroom. Kenta opened the door for them.
KENTA: Have a good night.
Audrey and Bailey entered the room and sat on Bailey’s childhood bed.
AUDREY: Okay, so now that we’re here... can you tell me what’s going on? What skeletons do you have in your closet?
BAILEY: Okay, how do I put this... the Reapers collect remains. But before this, they brought remains into this house. Repeatedly. Until my mom told them off.
BAILEY: The good news is, so far we’ve yet to be haunted, for some reason. I dunno. I think you should rest easy though, some nights Aurora comes home really late because she makes the extra trip to the mausoleum.
AUDREY: Ugh, okay. This news is sending chills down my spine.
AUDREY: I can’t believe they - Aurora - actually used to do that. Thanks for letting me know, Bailey.
BAILEY: No problem. Good night! Get some rest, you’ll need it. Sleep tight.
After Bailey left the bedroom, Audrey changed into her nightdress and tucked herself in.
It smells like Bailey, she thought lazily before she drifted off into deep sleep.
