📖 Cami’s Story

Cami never planned to live in a place like this. The walls are scuffed, the furniture mismatched, the floor creaks when she walks barefoot at night. Some days it feels like the whole house is held together by hope, duct tape and second chances.

Money has always been tight. Really tight. So tight that fixing things often means choosing which thing matters more this month: the broken cabinet… or groceries. The cracked window… or electricity.

But there’s one thing Cami never compromises on.

Basketball.

Every evening, when the sun drops low and the world gets quieter, she grabs her worn-out sneakers and heads to the court. She’s not tall. Not even close. People love reminding her of that. “Too small.” “Wrong body type.” “Be realistic.”

Cami learned early that realism is overrated.

She plays anyway. Harder. Faster. Louder.

Basketball is the one place where the noise in her head disappears. Where being small doesn’t mean being weak. Where every missed shot still feels like progress. Her dream? Becoming a professional player — not because it’s easy, but because it feels impossible.

Back home, her grunge little lot reflects her life perfectly: messy, cluttered, a bit chaotic — but full of heart. Books stacked everywhere, old posters taped to the walls, candles burned down to the last wick. Nothing polished. Nothing perfect.

Just real.

To better match her story, I used a height cheat (downloaded via CurseForge) to make Cami a little smaller than average — a quiet reminder that dreams don’t care about proportions.

She knows the odds. She just refuses to listen.

Meet Briar Lane and Davon Colbert—two lives colliding in all the wrong ways.

Briar learned early that stability was something other people had. She left her parents’ house young and spent years couch-surfing with friends, hookups, and anyone who’d let her crash for the night. Her mother? Cold, calculated, wildly successful—and remarried to a rich man younger than herself. Her father? A different story entirely. He lives just a few trailers down from Briar in Oasis Springs, barely scraping by, usually found shaking a cup for spare change to fund his next drink.

After years of scraping and surviving, Briar finally saved enough to rent a run-down trailer of her own. It’s falling apart, but it’s hers. Her landlord—and neighbor—is Johnny Zest, which feels fitting in a way she can’t quite explain.

She meets Davon Colbert one night at a bar after agreeing to “just a couple drinks” with a friend. Davon is charming, confident, older—everything Briar isn’t. To her, he looks like a knight in shining armor.

Except knights don’t go home to a wife and a newborn baby.

When Briar learns the truth, she doesn’t walk away. Davon promises her a better life. He swears he’s leaving his wife. He tells her she deserves more than the hand she was dealt—and Briar wants to believe him.

Things unravel fast. Davon discovers Briar has also been sleeping with his best friend from college, and the fantasy cracks. Briar is unemployed, hustling odd jobs just to keep the lights on, rarely holding more than a hundred dollars in her bank account at a time. She dreams of opening a bakery one day—until then, she sells baked goods out of her trailer… and sometimes sells a photo or a steamy video online when the bills don’t wait.

Davon, on the other hand, is a well-known chef. He’s established. Comfortable. He already has a home, a family, and a life that Briar will never truly fit into. The age gap says it all—20 and 36, two people at wildly different stages, pretending the imbalance doesn’t matter.

But secrets never stay buried, and promises made in the dark don’t always survive the daylight.

This is only the beginning.

You guys asked for it and I was happy to oblige !!! I finally got around to building this Sims 2 eclectic & cozy residential cottage as a match to the Paris Café & Bakery. It was quite a challenge to build a home that had the coziness of a small witches cottage, while still maintaining a mix of modern & Parisian elements. But here we are and its perfect!
