Domino Institute - Museum/Small Business
A Tribute to The Dragonflies:
When pop was young and the kids weren’t yet groovy, four Ravenwood locals put together what would become the greatest pop band in SimNation history. Yearly best sell albums and more retirement tours than you can shake a stick at, this band redefined music at home and abroad. Sing your heart out as you take to the karaoke stage and belt their endless body of work.
Each display pays tribute to each bandmate’s unique style and of course, their instruments and awards. The Queen with her endless range of vocals, the Wild Child with her gnarly guitar, the Peacock with his ostentatious piano numbers and the Outlaw with his old-country violin twangs. Four strikingly dissimilar styles which managed to blend harmoniously into the pride of Ravenwood and the whole music scene!
Trigallery & the Upper Hall:
Not everyone is excited by pirates and pop music and prefer instead the calming contemplation of the gallery. With donations from across the great and good of SimNation including personal portraits of the Goth family, this gallery is second to none for all art lovers. Just please don’t touch!
A short flight of stairs and you’re onto a new layer of discovery with open balcony views of the ground floor and if operating the lot as a small business, a small staff room for your employees to escape the sound of screaming brats beloved children and their paying parents.
Barry the Brachiosaurus’ Jungle Playground:
Speaking of beloved children. The institute is painfully aware that kids these days may not be excited by the prospect of a museum and may even groan at the suggestion! Well, worry not, because nothing inspires learning more than bribing them with fun! Barry the Brachiosaur invites all children* (*height limits apply) to play in the prehistoric jungle of a land before Sims! Just don’t step on a butterfly!
While your kiddywinks are wearing themselves out swinging on vines, you can relax and chill at the Eye of the Storm coffee bar. Catch your breath and gain some energy before rushing back into the endless whirlwind of learning and fun!
Treasures of the Omiscan Ancients:
Regarded by the institute as its greatest archive of work, the Treasures of the Omiscan Ancients exhibit is the life-long work of one man, Professor Elderberry who was one of the earliest stars in the history of archaeology. Spending most of his career in the jungles of Selvadorada, he pioneered the study of ancient artifacts and their role in cultures long since disappeared from the history books. Though he is no longer with us, the Institute bestows a scholarship each year in his name to encourage the next generation of pioneers in their fields.
Blue Skies Crafting Centre:
Looking at art all day is one thing, but sometimes you just have the urge to create! Fly high in our Blue Skies Crafting Centre where you can use all you’ve seen around the museum to truly express all you’ve learned!
Disclaimer: This room is an all-purpose room deliberately left semi-empty with minimal decoration so that a small business can be created within it as an additional revenue stream. As it stands the museum is not overly profitable versus its cost, so this room can be easily transformed to allow for additional cash flow.
