He was still seeing Jennifer, and he had been planning to finally confess just how deeply he loved her—if that wasn't already obvious.

Then everything fell apart.

It was Jennifer's husband.

That was the moment Quentin learned the truth.

All this time, Jennifer had been deceiving him.

At first, unable to process the overwhelming mix of anger and betrayal, Quentin lashed out at Preston, Jennifer's husband. But deep down, he knew she was the one he was truly furious with.

She hadn't just broken his trust.

She had broken his heart.

To Quentin, Jennifer's betrayal felt even worse than his mother's. He had once resented Primrose for constantly following her heart on impulse, but this was different.

This wasn't impulsive.

This was deliberate.

How could someone knowingly destroy both their own marriage and another person's heart at the same time?

Although Quentin made no effort to hide his anger toward either of them, he refused to explain the reason behind it. When Preston asked why he was being treated with such hostility, Quentin simply asked them both to leave.

Jennifer looked undeniably guilty, and perhaps it was a good thing that she recognized the pain she had caused.
