Hi mani ! I started to draw recently and not very sure of my talent I want to improve ,got any tips for me ? Have a lovely day ā¤š
Hello~ and thank you, wish you a wonderful day, dear š
I wanna preface this by saying Iām self-taught, so I probably lack so much of the basics, heh. Everything I say here is based on my personal experience!
Love that youāre eager šŖš„
Itās a fairly wide range, art is, I donāt know what you want to accomplish in it or what to say to guide you in specific terms, but since you came to me Iāll assume that drawing characters is in your list of interest at least, and Iāll gladly give you general pointers to how to go about itā like in your thought process indulging in drawing.
Ā The first and the most important thing about drawing for me is to enjoy it. If you donāt, itās frustration, and that probably will not encourage you to get better or have you tolerate the tedious parts of it, heh. Enjoy what you do right now, and never worry because the next one will be always better just simply because of practice, e.x. youād be training your hands to do certain strokes easier and faster and overall shape your ability. I like to show you my first character, the first masterpiece I considered and still itās counts as oneā I enjoyed the fudge of it, I remember how I was proudlyĀ making his eyes mixture of lilac and blue.
Medo, the linker of fairies, 14 years apart from newest in 2018
Ā Donāt be intimidated to do what you really want no matter how hard it looks, if you like it enough youāll be always on the search for a way to execute. Again, by continuance practice, you automatically train yourself and get better at it, rather than just setting it on a stool and considering it above your abilities. Itās as simple as if you donāt start doing it, you wonāt get anywhere with it.
Ā Use tons of reference of things you like, donāt be afraid to, you need a base to start. And please be wary of credit rights and so on.
Ā You can draw anywhere, take as long as you like. You donāt have to set a limitation of time and place to do it, I know I have always done so and it never helped me to do much, but if you function in reverse, set yourself a time and prepare the place to do so, set the mood š
Ā Remember that you donāt need to know how to draw everything to make art. That being said; the more you know the better you can deliver the image and form it the way you wanted. So itās all about choosing what you want to make, really.
Ā Donāt be discouraged by other peopleās views of your piece if you did not expect it, if anything they can be a fresher set of eyes that may spot something you have never noticed (Such as me and not noticing drawing Sev in heels, heh). And remember thereās a massive difference between constructive criticism and rudeness when you find yourself confronted with a situation using the term criticism to justify rudeness. Either way, it lies with you to give it real weight, try to always take from them what inspires you to be betterš
Your art process is yours, not the othersā. What works for some might not work for others, and there are always other ways to do it and much to explore and find out. You can have a comfort zone and you can step outside it whenever it suits you.
Now to the actual art advice, I can split them into three broad sections: A good structure, need to learn and observe bodyās and shapeās anatomy. Understand basic color theories and how to choose what harmonise with each other. And lastly, inspiration! And you can find all your needs in the endless art tutorials online.
Here are random simple artistic tips about characters that I do:
⢠Try to distinguish your character with basic shapes for their facial features. Example; Juicy has an oval face, square nose, narrow eyes. Severus has a sort of a triangle face and a triangle nose as well. Albus has a square face and a broken arrow nose, and so one. The same goes for the rest of the body parts.
⢠Color, hot with cold background, cold with hot background! I made an old post about it here. It gives an easy satisfying look to your piece if you try and include the character with the background.
⢠Just go wild cuz honestly 57% of the time I donāt know what Iām doing, hehehe
Iām sorry if thatās not the thorough answer you looking for and I hope this helps you in any way.
super easy fashion tips
iām no expert, but i thought iād share some things iāve learned over the years
1. you look more put together if you pair a solid with a pattern (patterned shirt goes with solid pants, solid shirt goes with patterned pant)
2. mixing basic colors with monotones helps direct peopleās eyes to the colored piece
3. using a shirt that matches your eye color makes people use more eye contact (and they tend to compliment you more)
4. shoes can change an entire outfit
5. you can literally wear anything. thatās it, thatās the point. i get told so many times when i make a bold fashion move, āyou look so good, but i could never pull that off.ā plot twist, you can. all you have to do is put it on, and fake confidence
6. people respect you more when they think what youāre wearing is bold
7. make sure to factor in your hair color and complexion when choosing colors to wear. for example, my face is a little more rosy, so wearing any warmer colors causes me to look flushed and unattractive, but in cooler tones, my face looks balanced
8. high waisted pants are always a yes. almost nobody looks good in low waisted.
9. for my breasted friends, crew necks make your boobs look bigger/perkier
10. have fun! fashion is about learning what youāre comfortable in and being bold. the less fashion scares you, the more you will be able to do

Simply put, ISO is the function that changes how sensitive the camera is to light. A low ISO number such as a base ISO of 100 means the camera is less sensitive and a high number such as 3200 means it is extremely sensitive.
With ISO it is important to remember that you should always keep it as low as possible! This is because the higher you put your ISO up the more likely it is that your pictures will haveĀ ānoiseā (almost like the digital version of film grain) covering them.Ā
In some situations such as a dimply lit indoor settings and night photography, it is necessary to have your camera set to a higher number to allow more light to the camera. It is a great idea however, to adjust your ISO last so that it is not at a higher number unnecessarily. Set your aperture and shutter speed, then have a look at what ISO number you need, if more light is needed this is when you should bump it up from the base 100.
Drawing Tip: Sketch a Stick Figure, then a More Detailed Sketch, then Outline
Well, just that. If you get a basic pose with come circles and lines, then you'll get an idea of how you want things to look. Then, you can use another sketch layer to start chicken-scratching the more complex details. Afterwards, you'll find that outlining becomes a lot easier, especially if you're using a "vector" type layer that can let you more easily increase/decrease/etc. all you need to do with those final lines.
Personally, I find I do draw a lot faster and better, compared to if I just did a complex rough sketch first and then outlined it all.
