Roofing is the death of me every time, but this is the house where I started experimenting with the second floor. My biggest bummer with Evelyn, George, and Alex is that I couldn't find like a wheelchair skin or mod or something that I liked so by all miracles, George can walk but is still as grumpy as ever.

Let's take a look inside!

1st Floor: (I forgot to turn the grid off, I'm sorry)

The kitchen is far too big but in my mind, I'm still designing it with a potential wheelchair in the mix. (If anyone has any recommendations, I will happily take them.) but Evelyn and George's room is in the back.

2nd Floor:

The second floor is basically Alex's whole room - looking at the floor plan from the game, it really gives off the lived in attic vibes. So there's also a little guest room and a big bathroom up here.

I wanted to give Evelyn glasses because it just felt right, but they look so cute together as an old couple.

Alex is working out and getting ready for his future sports career maybe, who knows. (He's trying to dislike fitness and I almost might let him because it would be funny.)

Okay, so remember when I said I had a realization that the houses didn't all have to be a single story? I probably would have rebuilt this too, if I hadn't put so much effort into it. We have some special closet CC for Haley and some Sewing Machine CC for Emily. The sewing machines are for display only because the sims isn't perfect. Anyway, let's look inside!

Like I said, I loved it too much to bulldoze.

Haley, the queen, is so cute. I wanted her to be a little self obsessed but she does have photography skills and don't worry, her trusty camera is in her room.

I'm obsessed with CC art, I'm sorry. All of these I have found on curse forge though, they're incredibly popular.

And this is absolutely what Haley's closet would look like. I'm so sorry that I'm so bad at keeping track of all my CC but I just searched a bunch of places for walk in closet sets. My go to search places are Tumblr, TSR, and Curse Forge. I do use Sims 4 Mod Manager for a lot except stuff I've had forever and most of my script mods.

Anyway.

I love Emily so much. My first love, my first wife, my sweet dance machine. Of course I gave her that trait. Once I build the Bar, she will definitely work there. I think I might have Gus and Clint live together, but I haven't decided. I don't know if I want the Wizard or if I want Clint to have his own lot.

I also forgot I found a parrot recolor of the raven from life & death so she can also have her sweet pet.

It wasn't until after I had fully built and furnished the house that I realized that these floor plans are 2d because the entire game is 2d. That doesn't mean that every single one of these houses was meant to be only single story. Don't worry, I start making bolder choices.

Anyway, welcome to 1 Willow Lane.

If I were to rebuild this, I would have at least moved Vincent, Jodi, and Kent all upstairs. but I liked the way it came out so much that I couldn't start over.

Jodi has the most beautiful kitchen and always makes sure the fridge is stocked. Once I build Pierre's, I am planning on starting a Tuesday work out club like in Stardew Valley, mostly because I want to see if it's possible to really set up a town around a sim.

Kent is indeed a part of the family and very happy to be home from deployment, it seems.

Vincent is already coming out as a weird kid and I'm okay with that. He's not friends with Jas yet or with Penny either but we are working on it, promise :)

Finally, we have Sam.

This made me remember how much I wish the Sims 4 had a drum kit. It would have completed this, because of course, that's what he has in his room. Also skateboards. I'm still looking for mods for a lot of little details.

Up next, Emily and Haley!

Elliot is gonna live right behind Leah in this version of Simdew Valley, not only because they are the smallest lots but to me it just makes sense with how everything else is laid out. This is definitely the suburban life part of the town. Plus, Elliott and Leah are close. They deserve to be neighbors. Let's take a look inside.

I kept the studio cabin feel, raising up a little platform to put his bed and a little rest area. As usual, had to add the bathroom and kitchen, which I think fit his single lifestyle at this point in his life.

He's the writing romantic that we all know and love and is handsome as ever. (He was my first husband in the game, Emily will always be my first and most lovely wife.) Hopefully, we get to know Elliott a little better as we get to know the neighborhood.

Thank god for the 5 million online resources for Stardew Valley. I love this game as much as the sims, but even after playing it as much as I have - having a blueprint of the floorplan to reference and character art has really been bringing this to life.

I had to add in a bathroom and a kitchen, gave her the woodworking table in her bedroom and the new repair table out in the sitting room. I think the kitchen and bathroom don't take anything away and still leave her cabin a little solo getaway for anything she needs.

She's such a cutie. No super special CC but I do have a lot of CC and literally do not have a library for any of it.

the skin overlay is twisted-cat, I know that for sure. anyway - the plan is since she's a townie, I'm gonna cheat some skills and and set a few other things up before I move onto the next homestead.

The rules of this challenge basically turn aging off for everyone so if I find some CC that matches her or her life better, then I'll add it and update.
