It’s been a year and a half without added color. I actually love it now, I can’t imagine going back to coloring it. Wow. One year of no added hair color. Truth be told I hadn’t even noticed, but I switched shampoos and suddenly there it all was. Tons of silver, just like my moms, soft and wavy. All over my head starting at the roots so there’s no strange line of demarcation. Finally, I love it. Finally I’m comfortable in it. I feel glamorous again. I feel sensual again. I don’t feel at all like I’m hiding something or faking it. My hair doesn’t smell like chemicals and my scalp doesn’t itch. The cutest boy in the world thinks it’s really sexy so that’s a definite plus. I adore the way it shimmers and moves in the light, especially candlelight and firelight. Makeup which was a real pain is fun again. I mean how do you match makeup to your changing skin tone when your hair color isn’t quite right for it? I love the dramatic colors I can use again! I’d encourage any of you to join me. Don’t fight it. Month 5 of Quarantine hair color.... ever grateful to @gregggg5660 for setting me on the path of cutting my hair correctly for the curl. I almost broke and colored it last weekend, but all it took was a kiss and a plea from Jim and I left it. One thing I love? The gray is coming in silver and it has a stronger wave/curl than normal. I love it. It’s finally the curly hair I’ve always wanted. I can twist it with my fingers and put it into place. I wake up and shake it out , get dressed and I’m ready to go. I may be over the hump, we’ll see. Last year I tried to let the silver come through and about 4 months in I ran for the dye. Turning 60 and being in Covid Quarantine has given me a different perspective. I’ve honestly never been so happy with my hair. For some reason( it could be all the supplants I’m taking) I’m shedding worse than the horses, but it’s thicker and wavier than its ever been. It’s really fun to wait and see how the silver comes in and so far, I’m enjoying it. The long streaks remind me of rain on a windowpane. The #cutestboyintheworld can’t stop touching it.
