It always irks me whenever people talk about women in Tolkien as some sort of a “gotcha” to imply Tolkien was misogynistic, yet they always fail to include Aredhel or any of the other badass women in the Silm, (Melian, Lúthien, Idril, Haleth, Tar-Ancalimë, etc). That’s why I made an edit for all my fellow Aredhel lovers out there. She’s Aredhel my beloved 🤍 I had a dream with her while I was questioning my gender in which she kissed me and said “I don’t care if you’re a boy or a girl, I want you,” and I will never forget that 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

The Noldorin High Princess Lalwen has been deeply neglected by history, yet lacked not in the same achievements her brothers and other close kin had realised on Middle-Earth - most notable of her accomplishments were as a fierce & ruthless soldier in battle, an extraordinarily talented cartographer, and a traveler who went & explored all corners of the world. She survived near all of her family who came here, save her niece Galadriel & her family, and was the last child of Finwë to dwell in Middle-earth until boarding the last ship to Valinor.
