Honestly, it's a gag that fits right in with Toriyama's sense of humor. I think if he was going to write romance it would be Vegeta in the middle of casual hyper-violence like, "Idk, Nappa. Morally, pursuing a woman who's spoken for seems questionable at best."

Not sure if this was ever asked but do you think napa or raditz would encourage Vegeta to let loose once in a while? If Vegeta were attracted to Bulma, do you think Nappa and Raditz would tease him and encourage him?
Genuinely I think that based on Vegeta's Ego pre-transformation dialogue both of those men have seen him let loose and they probably both love it and are also terrified of being caught in his path (especially since Nappa froze mid-air just hearing Vegeta raise his voice kajsldja They seem fully aware of what he's capable of).
Of course, their idea of letting loose and Earth's idea of letting loose are probably two completely different things. Where we have a "Take your shoes off, stay a while" mentality, they really do remind me more of Frat Boys/Jocks where they (once given the green light when it's not considered profitable) probably treated a populated planet like drunk dudes treat an abandoned party house and just. Wreck everything. Go ape shit, one might say.
I think unfortunately (depending on when in the series and how funny or serious you'd want to play it) Nappa and Raditz would probably 1) tease him about it and 2) be like 'Nice, take her with us' and Bulma would either be like 1) Gross or 2) 'Nice, three hot evil aliens want me, suck it Earthmen'
