Bonus round: If the MC asked them to help pick a tattoo design, what would each of them pick? Personally I love the idea of a full sleeve tattoo featuring flowers from their magic, and maybe a few little things like cats or constellations mixed into the background...

None of them are opposed.

Killer and Dust would be the most into a punk/alternative aesthetic out of all of them. Spikes on outfits, pretty blues and reds in your hair, and shimmering jewels wherever you have piercings.

Cross would never have seen a human in this kind of aesthetic and would be equal parts confused and curious when he first met you. He’d eventually really enjoy helping you dye your hair.

Horror thinks it’s cute. You like changing parts of yourself—not like they’ve never tried doing the same. An’ you look cute when you do your hair all fancy. Took him a while to get used to the redness after you get a new tattoo, though. He really didn’t like the thought of someone hurting you, even for artistic reasons.

Nightmare finds it very bizarre at first. He is NOT used to modern aesthetics at all. He’s read books that describe similar things, but it’s still odd to encounter in person. Eventually, he’d get used to it (after lots of research on how tattoos, piercings, and hair dye work), but he would frequently suggest you dye your hair cyan, silver, or purple to match him.

Error has seen plenty of humans like this. It doesn’t change his poor initial opinion of you nor his eventual love for you.

The only major thing any of them would dislike is nose/lip piercings, which could get in the way of nuzzling depending on what you wear and when. Just be sure to take them off before you accidentally poke your datemates.

Horror would not like tongue piercings at all as a concept. The tongue is for tasting… not poking a hole in.

Tattoo designs:

Nightmare: You know what he’d pick.

Cross: Nervously would suggest speedwells.

Killer: Kitty cats.

Dust: Constellations absolutely. Or planets.

Horror: Is a bit disturbed by tattoos as a concept (because wdym you can put ink in your skin and it’s gonna stay there???), but would be happy if you wanted to feature something from him and Dust’s magic.
