Death of Anne of Bohemia: Duchess of Silesia and Medieval Noblewoman
On June 26, 1265, Anne of Bohemia, Duchess of Silesia, died after a life shaped by medieval dynastic politics and religious devotion. Born into the powerful Přemyslid dynasty of Bohemia, Anne became the wife of Duke Henry II the Pious of Silesia, strengthening the ties between Bohemia and the Piast rulers of Poland.
After her husband’s death at the Battle of Legnica in 1241 during the Mongol invasion of Europe, Anne took on an important role in supporting her family and the Silesian territories. She was known for her piety and helped establish religious foundations, including the Franciscan and Poor Clare communities in Wrocław.
Anne’s legacy endured as a medieval noblewoman who combined political influence with religious patronage. Her descendants continued to shape the history of Silesia and Central Europe, leaving her remembered as one of the notable women of the Piast era.

in a previous ask, you mentioned that silesians around katowice would have probably worn Bytom/Rozbark folk clothing. do you happen to know whether that would include gliwice and its smaller parts as well?

Hi! I meant to reply earlier and then forgot, sorry x_x but yes, Gliwice are relatively close to Bytom and by that, people from Gliwice would wear the same clothing.
The exception are people from Schönwald (Szywałd), current district of Gliwice, which as an unique minority descending from Franconia, had their own clothing, languague (Middle High German dialect), architecture and customs in comparision to their Slavic neighbors. The case of Szywał is pretty... grim, given what happened here in 1945, but that's not what the ask is about.
