I noticed that after the Dark Singer arc, Black-Winged Dragon starts to appear in flashbacks instead of Life Stream Dragon.
My theory is that after the battle with the Earthbound Immortals, Life Stream got badly damaged it needed to conceal itself in a metal armor just to keep it alive.
So the Crimson Dragon had to find a new dragon to take Life Stream’s place.
