I liked their dynamic with Speed being the mature, rational friend who makes sure Trace, the jumpy, easily distracted yet still knowledgeable and smart friend, is in check and doesn't do anything stupid. But, simultaneously, they end up in the most bizarre situations they must find their way out of.

Regardless, they work well both as friends and partners.

Alan has sort of lost it.

Also, although changes are small, there are changes for example, Speed is more violent and brutal than before especially in the past.

Safe to say, Speed with the help of Alan(which Speed is unaware of at that point) ripped the mindless monsters apart.
