> Fyi when kaiser @ name implying her to be cute and stuff. Bunny told kaiser to die, but you can interpret it however you want (like bunny hating name lmao)
author’s note. caught up with bllk.. i hope it’s not the case, but i fear bunny will pull the kaiser card.. (hating him, seeing him pathetic, knowing his background, liking him)(cause i like pathetic men)(yum) (no seriously, bunny doesn’t give the vibe of the character that’ll be pathetic, i think he’ll just be more vile)

Everything is loud. His life has never been more noisy than now. The stadium above him is booming and pulsing with each slam of the drums, and the locker room hums with excitement as a corner of the room cheers, another panics, and another plots. Yoichi Isagi sits at the center of it all with a dry towel on his neck, sweating before the game even starts, and his thoughts are as loud as the trumpets outside.
“Isagi,” Karasu croons, giving him a slap on the back, “what’re ya so deep in thought about? Can’t have ya fizzling out that brain before I devour it.”
“Karasu,” he replies, sitting up straight and breathing in, coming back to reality. “You can’t even dream of something like that happening.” He flashes a cocky smile, meeting Karasu’s own smirk, before he waves off the sentiment. “This game’s mine. Go and call your sponsors; they’ll be crying soon.”
“Speaking of call,” someone chimes. It’s Otoya, snaking his way to the two men as he puts a hand on his hip. “That girl you’re ‘dating,’” he scoffs, “what’s going on with her? Is she good?”
“Good?...”
“Y’know. Buy you things, give you kisses on the cheek before matches…?”
Isagi shrugs. “Well, yeah, y’know.” A hand comes up to rub the back of his neck. Suddenly, it’s too hot. “She’s cool.”
“Just cool?” Aiku, having picked up on the conversation, joins in uninvited. There's a growing crowd that’s hushed to silence to hear about Isagi and his little relationship. “You’ve been talking to her for like three months.”
“We’ve been dating for three months,” Isagi corrects him. Aiku gives him an approving look with hints of mockery. It’d make him upset if he didn’t know what he’s hinting at. “Okay, we were talking for a lot longer than that before—”
“For like a year.”
“Right,” Isagi continues slowly, dragging his voice, “but we were friends first, okay? I didn’t just ask her out of the blue.”
Aiku chuckles. “You did, though.”
A dirty look shoots at him. “No, I didn’t.”
“You did!” He laughs. “Getting her number and shit before I could. You were the one who wanted to be ‘friends’ with her.” His hands that made double quotation marks just ticked Isagi off.
“I did want to be friends, but…”
“But she’s too good of a fucker to let go?” Otoya conspires, hand on his chin like there’s anything wise that ever comes out of his mouth.
“No!”
“Right… hold it over our heads, why don’t you?”
Isagi just rolls his eyes and leans back on his palms. He wants the game to start already so he wouldn’t have to hear more of this crap about his girlfriend. She’s sweet and funny and kind, and he appreciates her presence so much more than these goons could ever know. She’s nothing like the rumors that float around the locker room— like you’re abstinent or a common whore that keeps your love life a secret. They’re such opposite sides of the spectrum he wonders why people choose to insult you in such a way. You’re far greater than any silly rumor.
“Dump her, Isagi,” he hears from across the room. Some nobody’s chimed up, a placeholder for Hiori, who’s ailed with a hamstring injury, and he stands to voice his opinion. “You just started dating her so you could brag about it.”
“That isn’t true,” Isagi shoots down immediately.
“Really? You didn’t just get her number to see what the fuss was about?”
He stays silent this time. Just for a moment.
“Why would I dump her? We’ve been dating for three months already.”
“More like leading her on for like a year and a half.”
“Three months isn’t a half.”
“Okay, but you didn’t even like her until like a month ago.”
“Two months.”
“That kinda makes it worse?”
Isagi sighs into his palm. These idiots wouldn’t understand. He never meant to lead you on, but now that he actually likes you, there isn’t an issue.
The first time he interacted with you was outside of your classroom. He’d been dragged with Bachira to sneak a peek at the girl that Aiku and Otoya and Karasu were plotting on. They talked about you so much and how you talked to multiple people but never made anything out of it. Apparently, you were quite ‘underground’ in your love life. You’d slide into people’s DMs and start talking, only to leave it at that. Like some sort of shadow in situationships, you were a lingering thought in multiple people he’s spoken to, so he naturally had to go and see what you were about.
Nothing remarkable, he noted, then caught himself for the rather rude thought. He knew he wouldn’t ever say it to you or to any other person’s face, but he felt guilty enough to shake away the sentiment to the back of his head.
When your class concluded, Bachira started smacking his shoulder.
“Isagi, look! Her!”
“Yes Bachira, I noticed.”
You walked out of the classroom, but gave a swift glance to the two who planted themselves by the doorway. They looked a little suspicious, yes, but you had assumed they weren’t here for you. Something about the way you carried yourself propelled Isagi into motion.
He just wanted to know a little bit more about you.
Someone’s voice snaps him back to the present.
“Wait, so you guys were just talking and you didn’t even want to date her?” Aiku laughs, too heartily for a situation such as this.
“I… wanted to see if she would leave first.” Isagi shrugs. “She didn’t.”
“Right, so you gotta leave first now,” Otoya pitches. “She’s playing with you, you can’t have your heart broken first.”
Isagi raises an eyebrow. He knows you love him dearly, and now that he loves you back, there isn’t a reason for him to leave anymore. They were just spouting some idiot stuff without even knowing the true story.
“Gimme her number.”
“What? No.”
“Dude, you’re almost done anyway.”
“Who the hell says that?”
“Fine,” Otoya shrugs. “To each their own, man. Don’t come crying back once you fall too deep.”
“Personal experience?” Aiku asks him.
“Nah.”
Isagi rolls his eyes so hard they feel like they’re going to pop out of his head. “Okay, fine. I did just get her number because I wanted to see what she was about. I didn’t think she’d actually like me.”
Karasu coos at Isagi, sickeningly fake and pouts. “Aww, Isagi, of course she’d like you! Who wouldn’t like the golden campus boy?”
Isagi’s face flushes a light blush. “Don’t call me that…”
“It’s okay, golden boy,” Karasu chirps, putting an arm around his shoulders, “you can get aaaany girl you want.”
“Stop,” Isagi growls, embarrassed and steaming pink. “Where’s my money?” He asks in an attempt to change the conversation. “Didn’t one of you say I couldn’t fuck her? Come on, pay your end of the deal.”
A benchwarmer on the far end of the room chokes on his water bottle. So it was him that Isagi overheard that one day during training. The room seems to erupt with laughter as the guy slinks to Isagi, also embarrassed, but laughing with them as he tosses a few bills towards Isagi. They land in his lap.
He’d be happy about the pocket change if he didn’t see you standing in the doorway of the locker room.
He doesn’t want it to be so cinematic. The way your eyes widen in slow motion and your bag, full of his stuff clattering to the floor louder than any cheer; the doom settling deep into his bones that they rattle beneath his skin— the things he wishes would just go away are drawn out and torturous and the things he wants to distract himself with disappear faster than the ball underneath his feet.
Your name feels thick and foreign on his tongue. It’s coated with lies and sticky regret that he can’t even swallow down anymore. His mouth opens to explain himself, but what comes out is nothing that he can comprehend. There’s words spilling out of his mouth in a tight string and completely nonsensical; he feels as if he’s hurting you more, but he doesn’t stop even as he stands to try and reach you.
You step forward first. He can’t see where you’re looking as your face is tilted down, and he’s worried that you’re scanning the room for answers from his teammates— all of which would be half truths about this. The bag is back in your hands, something he didn’t notice until the fabric hits his chest with a force he wishes would be harder, and you mutter, “let’s talk after your game.”
You’re all he can hear now: hesitation before the first syllable, the breath that pushes out your words, and the quiver in your voice when the last letter leaves your lips. Your lips, closed and uninviting, narrow his world down to the sounds that slip past them. Your controlled, shaky breaths. Your teeth, grating against the inside of your mouth to stop yourself from crying. The air is stale as he tries to leave his thoughts, try to pour his heart out before you reject it, but each inhale tastes like salt. Your head turns, and he doesn’t stop you. You probably need a few minutes to gather yourself, to cry alone for a little bit before asking for help. It’s okay. He’ll be there.
He’s never wished for a game to not happen. He wants time to stop so he can reach you, grab you by the arm and spin you into his chest, to let you know that none of that was real and that he loves you so so much. The tunnel to the field feels empty and cold and every step he takes is heavier than the last. Now with so much riding on him, he has to win, to dedicate a hattrick to you, and win you back.
Maybe it’ll be okay. Maybe you already understand that Isagi wouldn’t ever be the type to do something like that, and that it’s just a misunderstanding— you still love him and he loves you.
As soon as sunlight hits his face, his eyes are open and searching the stands. Each seat that he scans over doesn’t have you in the plastic chair. The ticket he’d given you, the pitch-side seat so he could hear your voice above everything else that crowded his mind, is nowhere to be seen. Row 1, section whatever, he can’t see your face.
One seat stands out. It’s empty and alone. In the midst of supporters and crazy fangirls, there’s one seat that’s left open, without someone to warm the back of it and collapse into when the screaming leaves them dizzy.
It’s not even a big deal, Isagi tries to tell himself.
Even after jogging onto the pitch, taking his place, and the whistle rings so loud his vision blurs, he won’t stop looking at that empty seat.
I do love her.

Completely unrelated to my poll this is something I thought of last night and I liked the idea
-He likes to act like he's unbothered but don't be fooled, he's down bad
-Do anything cute and he has to actually turn away from you or risk you catching him smiling like an idiot
-That being said he LOVES showing you off and seeing people's reactions if you doing anything lovey-dovey with him in public
-If anyone else calls you cute or something he gets so clingy like “Yes they are cute. But they're mine.”
You were just standing there, in the outfit he picked out, looking around at the crowd of people and absent-mindedly playing with the silver necklace he bought for you. And yet, Kaiser knew you were the most captivating thing in the room.
He lazily slipped his arm around your shoulders, sipping champagne like it was the most boring event he's ever been to, even though he was basking in the envy he felt emanating from the people around him.
“You look perfect, mein Schatz,” he whispered. “Let them stare. I would too, if I didn’t already have you.
Sendou Shuto
-He folds every time you do anything honestly
-It's kind of embarrassing how obvious he is (but very endearing)
-He's the type to literally clutch at his chest like you made his heart stop “You're so cute I can't take it- please do that again!”
-He's constantly posting pictures of you and him on his stories ‘cause why shouldn't he share how cute you are with the world?
“Here Sen, I made this for you,” you said, handing him a bento box. It was decorated with stickers, and inside was a little note saying “Good luck Sendou, I love you <3”. It even had a little poorly drawn doodle of his scoring a goal.
He stared in shock before you spoke up, “Is it too much..?”
“No! This is perfect!” he said instantly, pulling you in for a kiss.
Kunigami Rensuke [Post Wild Card]
-Opposites really do attract and you two are a perfect example of that
-Kunigami doesn't really seem to think twice about it
-But you can tell that it does effect him in the way he tries to be gentler with you than others
-He thinks you deserve way better than him—he's become cold and even cruel at times while you're cute and soft and kind, you deserve someone who can treat you better
-But at the same time, part of him wants to keep you all to himself
Kunigami fiddled with the tie around his neck for a while in the mirror. Eventually, you walked up to him and stood in front of him, adjusting it for him. He silently let you fix it, eyes fleeting down to your outfit before watching your face as you focused solely on the knot of the tie.
“Done!” You said, letting go of it with a smile. “You look good!”
“... Thanks,” he muttered, placing his hands on your shoulders to turn you around to face the mirror.
“You look better.”
Yukimiya Kenyu
-He's very observant, and sort of analyzes your beauty
-He does think you're adorable on your own, but when he compliments you he focuses on things that you decide on
-So instead of just gushing over how adorable you are, he'll be like “That color really brings out your eyes”, “You styled your hair differently, it looks great”
-Being a model himself, he does try to get you into modeling because he thinks you'd be a good fit
“Yuki, I made you something.” You said, holding something behind your back. “Give me your hand.”
He did as you asked, too curious to question it, allowing you to slip the bracelet onto his wrist. “Look, it matches mine!”
“You made these?” He asked, inspecting the jewelry a little closer.
You nodded. “Mhm. I thought it'd be cute if we matched.”
He chuckled, kissing your cheek. “It's very cute. Thank you.”
Reo Mikage
-He's just as down bad for you as Sendou
-But less like Sendou, he's definitely the type to have cuteness aggression
-Like you were a cute outfit and it just makes him wanna hug you so hard you can't breathe
-Absolutely spoils you
-He spends SO much money on buying you any cute clothes or accessories or anything
-His friends tease him a little about it but he literally doesn’t care at all
- “Yeah and?? They're adorable. Of course I'd buy them anything they ask for.”
“Reo!! The hoodie you got me is finally here!” You yelled in excitement as you ran into the room.
He paused, in the middle of writing a message, to see you in your new hoodie.
“It's so soft- it's kinda big.. but it's cute, don't you think?” you said, doing a small spin to show it off.
“You have to be doing this on purpose,” he said, standing up to walk closer to you. He practically lifted you off the ground as he hugged you, before throwing himself onto the couch with you. “It's adorable.”
Sae Itoshi
-Doesn't react to anything, at least not visibly
-He'll roll his eyes wherever you're being soft or affectionate but doesn't actually stop you
-Like yes please hold his hand and kiss his cheek and cling to his arm while you walk he loves it (even if he tells you “don't get used to it”)
-He rarely outright just tells you you're cute.. but he will mutter something like “you're lucky you're cute” after immediately giving into whatever you ask for with zero hesitation
-He's also the type to buy you cute stuff, both for you and things that remind him of you
You agreed to meet Sae after practice so you could head straight to your date. He stood outside the stadium to wait for you.
You went up behind him and covered his eyes, giggling. “Guess who?”
“... Seriously?” He said flatly.
“You're no fun, Sae-Sae.” You said, letting go of him. He turned around to face you.
“I told you not to call me that.” He said, fixing the collar of your jacket.
You smiled. “You love it though.”
“Whatever,” he leaned down to place a short kiss on your lips. “Let's go before we're late for our reservation.”
