I think the side channel, Shuki will go through a content change sometime soon. Because in the past content changes are tied to thumbnails changing, think the chibi art from 2019 to the Minecraft with shaders from 2020 right before cocomau to the weird combination we have now. And they recently had a thumbnail change, from basically the Minecraft thumbnails we have now but in roblox to the anime art style.

I believe that Jess might be trying to cultivate an older audience using these thumbnails, not because I think the thumbnails themselves is mature (which side tangent I always hated that critique of Jess because it's legit just the female characters having BODIES. The horror.) But because in 2019 when Jess was trying to age with her audience, it had a similar look.

Jess has always enjoyed being herself in videos (if you couldn't tell from her self inserts) and if you've watched literally any live stream or old video you know what Jess is like unfiltered. But she can't be unfiltered because of her young audience, that's why I think she's trying to age up the audience at least on her side channel. Shuki's content is unscripted which would make it easier and less drastic to say, idk, play different games other than roblox?

The first real game swap I'd imagine would be somewhere in the later half of this year after slowly starting to refer to the VA's by their names instead of their characters. Much like what happened to the murder mysteries with garroth slowly turning into Andy.

And if that content change succeeds, who's to say one on the main channel wouldn't? C;

I’m finally home so I get to answer this yay! I’ve been thinking about this all day omg you don’t even know. (Also you mentioned daddy like ldakdfjald my kinks)

Ok.

I don’t see Shu ever making any kind of first move because the boy just doesn’t move period. So I’m thinking it’d probs start at school, he’s sleeping somewhere that’s not ideal or something and Ruki makes a snide comment. Probs something to do with being rich and spoiled. Shu is kind of the Sass MasterTM so he’d say something along the lines of ‘that’s rich coming from someone who’s worse than me’ cuz you know Ruki is the epitome of a Young Master. 

Ruki probs gets all triggered because “you have no idea what I’ve been through wah” type of thing so Shu is now public enemy number one and so he’ll try to make school life as uncomfortable as possible. Just casual things that don’t take too much effort. Like favorite sleeping bench? Covered in water for “cleaning duties” The recording/soundproof room? Locked due to club activities. That sort of thing. 

It takes a lot to get Shu to do anything about anything but I feel like eventually Ruki would just get thrown against a wall or something cuz Shu’s just had enough and Ruki sort of falters right cuz no one ever expects Shu to be the strongest since he’s literally a sack of potatoes. But so something starts stirring in Ruki cuz he’s always been the Top BitchTM but now there’s like someone else who surpasses him? Like how? 

And Shu probably wouldn’t even say anything just probably toss him against the wall like “fuck off” or something equally dismissive and then Ruki would probs get mad like if you wanna start shit then see it through right so he’d probs try and charge him or something but I feel like Ruki kinda sucks at fighting because he’s a rich kid. And yeah I know boohoo the orphanage but like he’s not Yuma. He never really had to have any of those STREET SMARTS or anything like that. Ruki gets by because he’s real good at reading people. 

Meanwhile Shu is like Karlheinz’s first born. Like you know damn well that boy knows how to fight. So it’d be an easy win I think, maybe a bit of a struggle where Ruki ends up cut a little bit so there’s some blood on Shu’s hands (aha literally). 

Shu licks it, smirks.

“Not bad.”

And then walks away. 

Ruki has no idea what just happened but he lost in a fight and his loins are on fire and he doesn’t know why.
