Drawing a random MK character every day until i finish the series roster day 9!!!

So for Day 9, we got another 3D era character Shujinko!!! Thank god- i was starting to worry that we’ll only be seeing arcade era characters for awhile 😭😭😭

Anywho, today’s character is Shujinko!!! Debuting in Mortal Kombat Deception, Shujinko is actually the protagonist of that game’s story/adventure mode; Konquest! In which you play the story of Shujinko’s life, starting as a young man being trained by Bo Rai Cho, Shujinko is soon taken advantage of by a mysterious spirit known as Damashi in order to retrieve relics from every known realm.

I particularly adore Deception, its konquest mode, and alot of it’s kombatants alot, however Shujinko i’d argue is one of their weaker additions. Despite being such a fun character in concept, he tends to lean mostly towards that blank slate imo so it’s hard to say i really *like* Shujinko as a character.

Nonetheless, i had a blast drawing him and in doing so it’s made me itchy to play more MK:Deception dbdjdndb!!!
