Anxiety in the social.
I watch you watching me, our eyes meet yet our souls closed, eyes twinkle like rose gold but I come off cold like a red nose. And you speak, deep. I murmur responses, interrupted with elongated pauses. The silence seeming fraudulent, but that's because you're not used to someone being subconsciously cautious. " Oh she's quiet, she's boring, she blinks and looks as though her souls about to sink, she keeps yawning I wonder where her roar is" Hardly engaging, you would think I didn't know what the word " talk " meant, peaceful like a night time breeze, slowly the dawn crept. Heart beating I develop more sweat. Working my brain, battling myself - no chance to work my core yet. iMessage, iMac, we face time and still I can't keep eye contact. I speak, I panic - content with your embrasure, I seep into the cracks of the couch and I begin to contract. I wish I could get a pay as you go sim for every time I tried to fight back.. this anxiety.
