ok shrimp and syscourse but what about: shrimpcourse? what is the best thing to feed ur shrimp and whats the best tank for these 🦐 bad boys
The funny thing is that fishcourse gets JUST as volatile
It's like a running joke at this point that you go to fish reddit and you'll be like, "i smiled at my fish today :)" and inevitably someone is going to call you out like, "How DARE you, don't you know that releases chemicals in their brain and now they're stressed and they'll poison themselves (corys, what magical little creatures), you should feel terrible and CPS should take your fish away"
Personally, I have mine on a 3 day rotation, because I demand they do what they're supposed to do and clean my goddamn tank LOL
Day 1 they get multivitamin granules sprinkled where they hang out
Day 2 they get a small piece of algae wafer OR pleco pellet OR fresh blanched veggie
And then day 3 my hair algae is growing so I leave them to go eat it
... they're very lazy, though, and they seem perfectly happy to ignore what's supposed to be their FAVORITE food
Then, if any come to the top of the tank, they get freeze dried blood worms, and i hand it to them with tongs and they get on the end and when I'm sure they've got a hold of the worm, I let go and they swim off with it
It's the best part of my day 😭
Tanks... while they can technically go in any kind of tank, small or large, and still be quite happy (they really are easy to care for provided you understand the water stuff), I'll always advocate for them going in a bigger than required tank with at least double the room they need, so like, I've got 15 amano shrimp and a single betta in a 30 gallon
Plus, nano tanks are actually harder to care for
What's the best type of freshwater shrimp:
cherry, chocolate, rali, or bloody Mary
bamboo or amano
creepy looking ass ghost or whisker shrimp
vampire shrimp, highly suggest looking at adorable videos of cheerleader hands
crystal or bee shrimp
sulawesi gets its own option because yaaassssss
