that I haven’t really posted MoDos in a while. They are as voracious as always and take so many photos that I overlook them at times, but it’s show-off season, and this one did not disappoint. 😆 Have a great Wednesday!

Oh, it's even better than that!

James Madison wrote George Washington's first Inaugural Address -- which Washington delivered at the very first Presidential Inauguration on April 30, 1789. Then, Madison wrote the Congressional response to Washington's address from the House of Representatives, which was made on May 5, 1789. And then, President Washington asked Madison to write a Presidential response to the Congressional response to the Inaugural Address.

So, James Madison wrote the first Inaugural Address for the first President and the first response to the first Inaugural Address by the very first Congress, as well as the first President's response to the response to the address that he had written in the first place! By that point in his life, Madison had also been the primary author of the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights and helped write the Federalist Papers.
