Posting Doujinshi to Youtube without credits !!!
For a long time, I have tried to contact many channels about uploading my translation, and my friends translation to Youtube, without crediting neither the author or translator’s name.Â
Some complied to my requests, but not all were met as some channels simply ignored my comments. Even leaving out the credit pages that we made at the end.Â
This Video Uploader  Here uploaded my and Shiku’s collaboration projects for Akatsugi no Agito (Akatsugi of the Dawn) to their youtube channels, leaving out credits to neither the author (bb/ume) or us, the translators.
Another uploader that has been ignoring my requests ever since is Saeko’s Yaoi Sensei, YT Channel here.
This is incredibly disrespectful. Having access to free doujinshi at this point is a already fortunate enough for us readers. The least we can do it left credits where it’s due, and especially to the author and circle group. I have been ignoring channels that at least have credits in the description box, or complied to my requests for my own translated doujinshi, but leaving out credits crosses the line.Â
Please note that not all up-loaders ignored my comments and request for crediting in the description box, where it is easier to see. There are nice people, but there are also not so nice people.Â
I’m aware I cannot control where my translation is going, and I know once it gets out of hand, people won’t even know the name of the creator anymore. For this reason, I’m happy as long as my credits (not sure about other’s translator) is at the description, or it is easy to see. That should be the first priority, the author comes first, then the rest of the others.Â
