The balance act I have to do to make Lancelot look like a feminine man and not just draw him like a woman is very difficult.
Iāve wanted to do this portrait for while and though Iām not sure if doing it right after recovering from burn out was the right thing to doā¦I am happy with how it turned out (even if I did get tired half way though the rendering process.)
So, according to my backstory for Palomides, he and his family left Babylon when he was quite young. At the point where we meet him in the story heās lived more of his life in England than he has in his home country. So their clothes donāt look all that different from the other charactersā in terms of design, though the idea is that the patterns and colors of the fabric is inspired by their homelandās style. I tried to draw on Babylonian art to show that itās still a large part of their identity.
