Iโm used to seeing black hogs, so itโs been a treat to work on one with such a pretty coat!

so this is a thing I can do now ๐๐
wtf I got a pole kiss from the shoulder mount and it lowkey looks like a hickey !!! .... lol ... awkward.
I do the shoulder mount every training session but I get that from today ?!! Why tho.
I got my Catalina goat mount yesterday! I was supposed to get a Nilgai as well, but I didnโt want to spend so much money at once.
The goat is currently airing out in the garage because he stinks. Not like rot, just like heโs fresh off the farm. Iโll have to order some deodorizer from Amazon.

Horns and antlers at Renninger's Extravaganza in Mt. Dora! With a bonus bike helmet lol
Went for a walk to see the flowers. They were amazing.
And then.
I GOT MY SHOULDER MOUNT. Iโve been working on this move for months so I am v v proud and excited !!
I went to the Oddities Flea Market today and got myself an early birthday gift: an impala shoulder mount! Anyone who knows me knows how much I love African hoofstock and this guy really stood out to me. This is my first big taxidermy piece but likely wonโt be the last.
(I know people arenโt always keen on taxidermy but I appreciate it as an art reference and as an art form in and of itself. I also believe that taxidermy is one of the best ways to get a true appreciation for the size and beauty of hoofstock short of seeing them at zoos or in the wild. If taxidermy makes you uncomfortable I recommend blacklisting the tag.)
