Tim: "It's the story of a Major in the US Air Force who has always faced discrimination because she is a woman. I heard about her on NPR. She was always told she wouldn't do well in battle and couldn't fly as well as a man. She went to Afghanistan and ended up saving a group of soldiers. She couldn't get the Silver Star because as a woman, she was technically not approved to be in live combat. When I heard this I thought, it's 2017, no freaking way this is possible. But I was also really surprised by the 2016 election. As a guy I take a lot of things for granted. Reading a story like this makes me realize that I need to look out for things that aren't obvious to me.
