what drew you to barbatos initially? did you immediately like him when you started playing or did it take some time? 👀
Ohhh an interesting question!
It did take some time. I remember at first just being like huh well that guy has a cool design. But not really caring about him because I didn't know much about him. I was curious, but definitely not as obsessed as I am.
It was a gradual thing. I think the first time I started to go OH? was after Lesson 16 because that was when we first got a glimpse of his time travel powers. I remember being like wow that's kind of a big deal! But he was so nonchalant about it, like okay whatever you want Young Master~
And then in season three of the OG, we really got more of his backstory and suddenly I was like OKAY I can't stop thinking about this guy now??? Him and his pact with Solomon and his creepy room and his lil oya...
And then I played through some of his Devilgrams and I was like oh. I see. I'm obsessed. Right then.
So I think the first thing was his design, then his time powers, then just his general attitude. It had a lot to do with him having all this power that he just didn't use or only used when Diavolo asked him to. It made him super mysterious and interesting and left sooo much space for me to write all the fics mwahaha.

Honestly, I was super inspired to do the second one because Raphael nation had so many good things to say about the first one! It kinda surprised me that so many people liked it that much! So I was like well now I really wanna write part two lol!
