The lighting set up involved 4 hard lights represented by the yellow circles, which had multi coloured gels in front to alter the colours of the light. In order to get the correct exposure of the subject I used dividers to block the lights from leaking on to each other therefore over exposing the image.

Baring in mind the improvements I would have made on my previous shoot, I decided to see how colour would alter the way in which a portrait is perceived. With different tones it creates different atmospheres, in my opinion altering the way the person is perceived.
For this shoot I also shot on a digital HassleBald so that the detail of the image wasn't drastically reduced. I also moved to digital so that I would have immediate results to reflect on.
I think the spilt lighting makes for an interesting portrait however, with regards to my project I don't think it adds anything to it conceptually. Although I have learnt to control lighting a lot better with the additional time in the studio making me more confident in how I operate in the studio.
