We drove North for around five hours, dodging crazy drivers, loose turkeys and the rest of it, eventually arriving in Shkodër. As we searched for a place to pull up for the night, we noticed we had not one but two punctures! Luckily we were right opposite a tire shop, where we got them both fixed in no time. We even made it in time to see the sunset over Lake Shkodër.

Once we'd finished preparing for our trip in to the mountains, we took some time out to visit the sites of Shkodër. This is the view across the city as seen from a balcony at nearby Rozafa Castle.
