The more i think is how poor Wasteland's environment on food and water supplies for Stork to survive and even being physically fit even if bro used his traps for hunting, the more i believe Bird Guardinians knew about his location since they marked it on the map and simply supplied him with food aid in order to use him for repairing and guarding the Condor until Aerrow arrives, and that's why they were sure Aerrow will be able to fly away on the Condor just fine.

(Maybe that's why Stork wasn't surprised when Aerrow started spilling nonsense about bird guys)
