Found this today. It's a shitajiki for the Detective Conan movie The Phantom of Baker Street. A shitajiki, or "pencil board" as they're usually called in English, is something you put under something you're writing on either to get a better writing surface or so you don't leave marks on the surface below. You don't see them a lot in the U.S., plus I don't see Detective Conan merch here much period I don't think, probably because while the series is SUPER popular in Japan (where it has been running since 1994...and is STILL ONGOING) but not as much here. (They also changed the name in English to "Case Closed," presumably for copyright reasons??)
I have a few shitajiki I've found over the years. I haven't ever actually used them for their intended purpose, but much like clear files, they're fun to collect.
