Ok i lied this is fhe actual last shinouma post of the night. They've both hollowed themselves out to become a certain ideal. Kokichi Becoming the lie and Korekiyo turning into a vessel and messenger of her idea of Sister (ill talk abt this in depth later but while I do think Her actual spirit is being dragged around by Kiyo, She is not possessing her at all). Kokichi does this to a far greater extent but they do this for the sake of Someone Else, its not about them and will never be about them. This is why i love exploring what their connection with this could've been because how lonely of an existence must you have to do this. And what do you even do when you find someone else who does the same thing as you? They wont ever be fully genuine with each other but they see slightly past their masks and Know the other is hiding. ok last post bc i need to get some rest and my head hurts. smth that's really fascinating to me about shinouma is their mutual deep fears of vulnerability. they go about it in very different ways but they both hide that terrified child inside of them, no? Seeking some sense of control, whether it be in the role of the spectator or the role of the villain, they want to know exactly what's going on and have things go according to plan. a conversation between them is like a highly complicated game where they have to sift through layers of different interpretations to get at what the other is saying. i love them i really do

oooooooooguhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i feel the shinouma infestation going crazy in my brain. i need to write down my story where theyre awful exes it makes me so happy but also it destroys me. its just self sabotage on resentment and also "if neither of us acknowledge what we have going on then it's fine" [killing game]
