This picture frame is from the Shinjo Mogami Manga Museum in Yamagata, Togashi’s hometown. In 2015, Togashi also drew a Hunter x Hunter version:
The Shinjo Festival is held over three days from August 24 to 26 in Shinjo City, Yamagata Prefecture. It has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. A total of 20 floats with themes such as historical stories, legends, noh and kabuki plays can be appreciated. You can also visit hundreds of food stalls and taste a huge variety of Japanese food and drink.

For those passing through Shinjo City, you can also pay a visit to “Togashi’s Paper Store” and see the house where he grew up. The business is still run by his mother and some even met his brother, Hideaki Togashi.
