"I trust your keen eye, Hunniecrisps. I'm just not used to wearing these types of outfits, and well...You know. I don't look weird or anything, do I?" Rook asks, raising his hand to show the sleeve gathering at his elbow.
Since the Wardance is officially starting, Rook figured it be nice to take Chenhua out and see the festivities. Especially with all the trouble lately, he wanted to help the foxian relax for once instead of staying cooped up in her workshop.
That includes letting Chenhua decide his outfit for the day.
Still, it feels different not having his protective gear on his person and hiding underneath the layers. But still, today is a day of unwinding with Chenhua!
At least he kept the knife and the two guns hidden under the outfit.
"I mean, I hope it just enhances my handsome face." He adds teasingly.
this was prompted actually. @shining-gem34
"Of course you don't, Rookie. These robes compliment you so well." Chenhua assured, smiling sweetly as she took a step back from her partner, hands folding in front of her chest and admiring the simple set of forest green hanfu that Rook now wore, the silken fabric accented with a deep crimson red. It had been a couple of weeks since the ordeal with the borisin invasion, and if Chenhua were to be honest, she was still recovering from the terror of it all.
Thank the Reignbow the crisis was over and the Wardance could commence like it was supposed to. She was grateful that Rook wanted to ease her mind with a date to watch the matches aboard the Skysplitter, and the chance to dress him in traditional Xianzhou clothing was an opportunity she didn't want to pass up. At Rook's quip, Chenhua approached him again with a playful pat to his chest before cupping his cheeks in her hands and giving him a peck on the lips.
"I wouldn't have picked it out if it didn't, darling~." She said cheerily, gently lacing her fingers with his and leading him down Exalting Sanctum's main street. "Come on! Let's head to the starskiff port so we can get to the Skysplitter."
