The day I stopped caring for "HER"
She used to cry, shared with everyone what she has been going through. Everyday she was judged by people, pointing out her choice to wear dress, stare at her because of her weight. No matter how many times I tried to calm her. Think about us, we all support you, don't be so hard on yourself. She used to talk about this a lot, what disturbed her most is “she feel insecure when other woman stare at her. It was painful for me also hearing this from her because it's true, when woman judge each other that time your all confidence vanishes in a second. Those eyes saying "who approved you, you're not like us". She says "I don't care who badmouthed about me, who passes comments, body-shamed me. But she continuously talk about this, proved she can't ignore this.
One day I met her & we were talking about this n that. A Girl was passing by us, she said "hello" to me as we know each other. After that it was a horrifying terrible moment for me, I was ashamed of myself, I was so stupid thinking about her pain, supportive to her everything, proud about myself that she don't judge & I know her....
The way she looked at that Junior, rolled her eyes, smirk in her lips & ready to judge from head to toe just because she was fat, brown, her choice to wear a t-shirt. Though I said something to stop that moment become more worse. But I became full numb at that evening, several thought crosses my mind “is she has been like this since the beginning or just... Or just we all are same Or just that's how feminism going on”. That was the day when I stopped caring for "HER", ashamed of myself, not proud anymore. Somewhere may be "She & her thought" lives in all of us. Not confident enough anymore to say "I don't judge woman for their weight, complexion, choice of wearing." No one should ashamed of own-self being fat because if skinny is a word to describe your body choice then fat also a word to describe your body choice. A complexion is a description of your mixture of your parents & your race, a dress doesn't make you. A woman get raped while wearing Borkha/veil even while in short skirt. The movement #HeforShe is great but can we do #SheforShe before that.
