It’s been sad not having all the comic conventions this year, I miss my fellow convention vendor buddies- they’re my coworkers. we’re almost all from different cities and time zones, but we get together at big conventions every couple of weekends, hustle through airports with overweight bags, rushing through the early hours of the morning so we can set up our booths early. All day we meet fans and sling art, occasionally eating snacks under the table like kids hiding their lunches under school desks. Then, when everyone’s been kicked out of the convention hall, we finally get to wander out into a strange new city, hang out over sushi or pizza or something local and delicious and complain about our loud vendor neighbours, or the over eager fan that forgot deodorant. And talk about how killer it is we get to make artwork for a living. It’s the greatest workplace you could ask for. My store is temporarily open! Link In bio!
