I L♡VE these two drawings by @cartoonowl of me and my little heart-shaped tea cups!! They are truly beautiful and make me feel like a badass gardener. 😎😍😎 ... #badass #herbmaster #nataliecultivates #cultivatelovela #cartoonowl #sharptoothsnail @sharptoothsnail #gardencoach #gardenteacher #teatime #teatasting #herbworkshop (at Los Angeles, California)
Hello Casting side of Tumblr!
I’m using oomoo 25 which (supposedly) has a very low viscosity and is made to be poured without vacuum or pressure pot. I have considered getting a pressure pot, but was hoping to use the owl I am trying to cast to be a bit of a test run and so carefully chose items that would work without a pressure pot. I’ve seen the harbor freight pot used before, did you follow a specific set up @sharptoothsnail? Since I’m making some extra money right now, it might be my next move depending on budget. What I’m doing should work though and other people have had success with oomoo.
I am measuring in two different cups then mixing that together in a third after a relatively high/think poor into the cup. I have a bad hand and mixing is hard on it, so I watch that carefully. I am pouring a bit high into the mold, but can certainly try a higher pour.
Oomoo does stick to itself and I can try the brush on method (I tried it earlier with an old/stale batch and it still had issues, but that was the batches fault likely). Oomoo should work without this more time consuming method though but at this point it’s worth the attempt. I hadn’t heard of the hair dyer idea- I think I own one somewhere and am willing to see what it does.
I think that covered everything. Thank you all for your feedback!
