Fresh off her hiatus, Renee Holiday is ready to put on a show. Late last year, the artist formerly known as Shaprece (full name: Shaprece Renee Richardson) put on “Beautiful” in her native Seattle. 

The multimedia event was held at the Can Can, beneath the city’s iconic Pike Place Market.

After “regrouping” to deal with both self-imposed and external pressures, Holiday release “Ain’t Got No Love” in late-2019. The single eschewed earlier musical experimentations for a more straightforward sound.

∆ Seattle’s own Branden Clarke, the producer known as IG88, is here to enlighten your ears with some jams he’s loving as of late. Branden once said in an interview that if he were to describe his music in one sentence, it would be this: 

It would be that moment that you stop at what you can only assume is a red light, glancing to the left you see a reflection bouncing off of the spinners of not an escalade, but of a Geo Metro, and the woman behind the wheel turns over, at the ripe old age of 72, flashes her grill, and flips you not one bird, but double birds - and at first your heart starts to palpitate because you think you might be in love - but you aren't in love... You are listening to IG88.

If that doesn’t convince you to check out his music, then nothing will.

Our friend Branden is also currently the main producer for Seattle artist Shaprece. The two have some consistent shows around the U.S this year, and they are almost finished with a full length album to be released this year.

I cannot stop listening to PND, one of my favorite artists by far. The drums specifically in this beat are wonderful, he is releasing really consistent work. Just about every single song is about sex but that does not bother me whatsoever.

This group showcases a classy blend of post-rock and electronic music, the whole EP is progressive and interesting.

Beautiful vocal manipulation, production and song writing.

Ginger falsetto vocals drenched in reverb sweeping over gorgeous melodies.. so yeah.. <3
