BW Survival AU - lesson 9

Ikrit had only gone a few minutes.

Castelia City was no longer the same bustling metropolis it was 20 years ago - still stuffed with busy pedestrians going about their day, but with a sense of quiet tension shivering & settling over it like the dense marine layer mixed with poor air quality.

Ansy had forgotten that Team Plasma had a base across from the Bug Gy—art museum. She was waiting in an obscure corner of the park when a hand from her nightmares tightly gripped her wrist.

“Come quietly, & we won’t hurt him.”

Ansy froze, her eyes fixed on one of the Shadow Triad who seemed to appear out of thin air as she remembered. Then, just as quickly, she read the blue Truths that appeared around him.

“…huh. So it was you all this time. That’s why you weren’t there with the other Gym Leaders.”

This wasn’t the time, nor the place to make that observation, but the split second of fear in his green eyes made it more than worth it.

Lesson 9: “Sometimes, what you learn in defeat outweighs their win.”

It took a long time for me to come to terms with the very real possibility that the Shadow Triad were the cafe triplets (mostly thanks to anime Cilan lol). But well. The evidence IS pretty telling ;u;

Really makes you wonder their motives.
