This is another part to the shadow and light world building thing
Shadow tears and light tears! Basically the physical, tangible thing that grants all of these powers that stems from extreme emotion and excessive magic use!
What do they look like? They can have a variety of appearances, color, and look to them. But the bottom line is they look like gemstones
The one on the left belongs to vain and the one on the right belongs to Parker.
Vain has both a light tear and a shadow tear. She gained her shadow tear from making a deal with Dark Lord Matthew, and she got the light tear from killing Aster and taking it out of her heart (hence why the outline colors are different)
Parker got theirs from an extreme amount of hatred towards themself and the magic from the sfoth swords. They coughed it up due to fate being in their favor, and generally being on a healing path towards loving themself thanks to their support system.
They grant the user abilities like going into shadows, shapeshifting etc, but there are some powers that are unique to each person
Vain has Fire manipulation, which is pretty self explanatory. She then later gained asters abilities to traverse multiple universes
Parker’s powers are unknown as they refuse to use their shadow tear
