It is so rare to see Charles have an outburst or even let himself feel his negative emotions at all. So seeing him cry because of the abuse he’s endured all of his life gets me. Such a great moment.

the garden scene in trial of magneto is always a top ten X-Men scene

This scene is so intimate and romantic. The way max holds him so gently. Charles entrusting max with his students and dream in what he thought were his final moments. One of the best moments for these two and has been said to be the most romantic by al Ewing writer of resurrection of magneto.

Everything to do with him and rogue after red skull took his brain. But these panels especially.

Charles seeing his son David’s fractured mind for the first time gets me

Charles wondering why Gabrielle didn’t let him be in David’s life is another great vulnerable moment.

Less sad but more cute is Charles seeing David’s alter Jack Wayne and realizing David wants to be the same kind of man he did when he was growing up.

This entire sequence where Charles kicks the purple man’s ass with Jessica Jones is so satisfying and amazing.

I love to see Charles have no mercy on an abuser. Also, “oh do be quiet won’t you?” Always makes me laugh. And the flower scene is beautiful.

Now for a funny scene. This scene in first class with Nightcrawler cracks me up.

Poor elf 😭 I love Charles in the first class comics he can be much more lighthearted.

This scene where Charles defeats mastermind was funny because in jeans dream she remembers herself doing it LMAO

Onto some least favorite moments that aren’t just bad writing or ooc. So I don’t hate the scene but hate Charles actions. His entire relationship with gabby is one for sure.

He knew he shouldn’t be with her he said he shouldn’t be with her and what’d he do? Get with her. Charles why 😭

When he was grieving max dying he yelled at ororo and tried to see max’s last words despite them being private, by forcing it via telepathy. that was shitty.

Of course this was acknowledged as an extreme reaction from him but I hated him doing this it was disrespectful to ororo and max.

I saved the best for last. This was just a terrible choice from the writers and artists I think it’s both hilarious and cursed. When charles came back to life before HOX/POX they tried to rename him “X” and had him look like THIS.

LMAOOOO Outside of egregious retcons and writing decisions this is my least favorite Panel of him ever 😭😭 there are definitely more bad moments to find but I’ve ran out of images and can’t think of them for now so I might revisit the concept later. I’m also not taking anything outside of the 616 comics into consideration in this post!
