I'm just gonna say it, I seriously love Terios! His design is just so damn cool!
I mean, I love Shadow the way he is and I'm happy with his final design, but I think Terios looks really cool, too!
I love that Terios' quills hang down like Knuckles' dreadlocks, it gives him such emo vibes. I love the gold shackles he wears around his wrists, like he's so dangerous that he had to be chained up somewhere. I also love that he's one of the only Sonic characters with muscle tone, like actually having visible, bulging, anatomical muscles, lol. And I love how he's got one blind eye with scars over it! What's the story behind that?? I wanna know! lol
I just really hope they make Terios into a canon character someday. I know there's already quite a few edgy Sonic doppelganger type characters running around, but I'm sure they could think up a fresh concept for Terios to make him stand out from the others.
It just feels like it'd be such a waste to not use such a cool character design, especially after seeing it in action in Shadow Generations!
Intentional side-effect of playing Shadow Gens: actually seeing the doom power transformation sequences makes me really think about the amount of pain they put Shadow in and how the wings' design being based off of blood vessels almost evokes the idea of the wings themselves being his own blood vessels mutated and forced to take a form outside his own body
Unintentional side-effect of playing Shadow Gens: I now think my own explanation for the evil sonadow fic's events is fucking stupid and Mephiles has been put through a He Would Not Fucking Do That by accident
I FIGURED OUT HOW BLACK DOOM CAME BACK IN SHADOW GENERATIONS
In Dark Beginnings, we see a Black Arms larva aboard the ARK
Everyone assumed it was just for Gerald to study, part of Black Doom's agreement with him. But, we know Doom is tricky, and this was likely his way of getting a more direct agent into the ARK instead of just relying on his primary son-turned-sleeper agent, Shadow.
During a VERY brief post credits sequence added in the full compilation of the three ONA episodes, we see Doom fully regenerated on the ARK thanks to the Time Eater's destruction of spacetime.
It's the central room, the observation deck, but it's not like Doom would be locked in one place once regenerating. It's not clear whether this larva was specifically a clone of Doom or if any larva can grow into a Black Doom given enough time, but this is the only explanation I can find as to how Doom is alive. It's not the same person, Shadow the Hedgehog's Black Doom WAS killed, this is a new clone.

God, the thing in Shadow Generations with the fake Chaos Emerald was such a. I don't even want to call it a "called shot" because there's no way it was "called" or even "a shot" when they gave Shadow the yellow Chaos Emerald in the original Sonic Generations.
Like maybe someone in 2011 was like "hey, we should give Shadow the yellow Emerald because that's like the fake Emerald in SA2!" But there were six other colors, and if they'd done literally anything except what they actually did, that part of Shadow Generations thirteen years later would have had to be very different.

This is gonna be the first mainline sonic game I've played since Black Knight as a kid (or my first mainline ever if you consider the former a spinoff!) so im sooooooo happy my computer can apparently run this hehehehehehehehe
