Founded by Jolly Blackburn, of Knights of the Dinner Table fame, (which originated with Shadis), and co-written by John Zinser and David Seay, Shadis was a gaming magazine first published in 1990. Best remembered for including MTG cards with each issue, it was dedicated to tabletop gaming, and lasted until 1998, with the last issue being #53.
Starting in full black and white, later editions had colored covers and even fully colorized pages.
Issues up to #23 have been fully archived on IA, although certain later prints up to #48 are also available.

The echoes of y/ns footsteps and the buzz of running air conditioners were the only sounds that could be heard in the empty halls of Traust high. Y/n walked the empty halls before stopping in front of a classroom door and knocking. The door slid open, and Keith stood in the doorway. "y/n? What are you doing here?" He asked with a quizzical look on his face, "You forgot your lunch at home, so I came here to bring it to you!" Y/n said, holding up the wrapped bento box for emphasis. Your husband smiled before taking the lunch box in his hands. "I don't have a class right now. Do you want to come in and have lunch?" He asked, and you nodded before stepping into the classroom and shutting the door behind you. The hour long lunch break was filled with idle talk and laughter between the two of you. Then the bell rang and brought an end to y/ns visit, "Well that's my que to leave " y/n sighed while packing up the empty lunchboxes "get home safe sweetheart, call me when you get home " He said before kissing y/n on the forehead, y/n kissed Keith on the cheek before waving goodbye and walking out of the classroom and making her way home.
