The Shake Shack Burger, also known as the Shack Burger, is a classic and mouthwatering burger known for its simple yet delicious ingredients. With juicy beef patties, creamy ShackSauce, and the perfect balance of pickles and caramelized onions, it's a burger lover's dream come true.
Ingredients: 4 beef patties 80/20 ground beef, 4 ounces each. 4 potato hamburger buns. 4 slices of American cheese. 1/2 cup of ShackSauce mayonnaise-based sauce. 8-12 slices of pickles. 1 small onion, finely chopped. 1 tablespoon butter. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or griddle to medium-high heat. Split the hamburger buns and lightly toast the insides until golden brown. Set aside. Season each beef patty with salt and pepper on both sides. Grill the patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of American cheese to each patty and allow it to melt. While the patties are cooking, heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Spread a generous amount of ShackSauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a cheese-covered patty on top of the sauce, followed by 2-3 slices of pickles and a spoonful of caramelized onions. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
