"Something A Little Different For Me." By Thomas Tymstone Quarantine Art Club January 2022 4•12x12 wood panels ◾* This is one of four, to see the rest look at the next post. * These are acrylic paintings. I've had these 4 wood 'cradle' panels near my desk for a while now. We (them and me) were just waiting for the spark to point towards them and say, your up. Well it did many, many times and I resisted. Thinking they had to be something new and special. Well these are new and special to me. There are no figures, flowers, or even hexagons. There some circles and a few letters. Each panel is 12 x 12 with an 1½ depth and two main colors on each on. So many layers on each. They were fun to paint. What do you think? This is also a multi layered painting. Circles, who doesn't like circles. I got to play with colors and texture. I'm normally a full color guy, but on this I chose just a few colors and stuck to that. Some painting call for lettering, but I love when they do. Wallpaper paste is the texture here. This time it's blue. "Impatience is a form of unwillingness. To be impatient by definition is to be unwilling to suffer delays. But wisdom requires delay, for wisdom is a thing that takes time to acquire and knowledge in the absence of wisdom is dangerous." This is a quote that touched me. What do you think?
