Are you sexually compatible with your current partner? Â
Do you fulfill each others needs in the bedroom?
Do you communicate with your partner about your sexual desires, needs & fantasies?
Do you feel that the only option is to self satisfy?
When your not sexually compatible does that mean the relationship cannot work?
These are important questions that we often ask ourselves, our friends and some times even strangers. Â Being in the adult industry for as many years as I have, I have encountered many forms of relationships. Â The ones that intrigue me the most are those who are not sexually compatible. Â Ok so what does that mean - according to Wiki compatibility is identified as being âThe state of being compatible; in which two or more things are able to exist or perform together in combination without problems or conflict.â
Does that mean then that in order to be compatible in the bedroom we need to be able to exist and perform together without problems, I donât think that is a realistic expectation of a relationship as a whole. Â What Iâm trying to get at is that we have so many individual needs and may not be compatible in our sex life due to religious beliefs, morals, values and needs/wants. Â That doesnât necessarily mean that we are not compatible with all the other aspects of our relationship. Â You can be compatible with your partner in that you both share the same beliefs, morals, values and ideals when it comes to parenting, work ethic etc. Â However do we share the same compatibility in the bedroom?
What do we class as important in our relationship and how many of us actually have their needs satisfied in the bedroom? Â For some people sex is not a big priority and therefore one person is either almost satisfied or left feeling unsatisfied. Â Whilst others sex is very important because sex to them brings them closer to their partner, more intimate and gives them the feeling of being able to give their partner satisfaction in the way that no other person can.
This blog is of course about whether or not you are sexually compatible with your partner, not whether or not you are compatible in your relationship. Â So what I want to address and while we are discussing this how do you define your sexual compatibility?
Is it because you both are satisfied in the bedroom (or where ever you do it) every time you have sex? Is it because you can voice your needs to your partner and they will always try what you are requesting at least once? Is it because you are able to guide your partner to the places that you need them to be in order to be completely satisfied? Â Or is it that you orgasm every time you have sex? Â Do you completely trust your partner to know what your needs are in the bedroom?
Sexual compatibility is when both you and your partner can fulfill each others sexual needs without problem or conflict. Â Of course there are going to be times in a relationship when one person is wanting to try different things. Â I for one believe that variety is the spice of life and trying new things can be exciting. Â Why canât we do what we want providing it doesnât hurt anyone? Â Why canât we try to satisfy our sexual needs and explore different things in the bedroom? Â After all isnât that what we do in our everyday life, in our jobs, even when we go to the grocery store! Â We try a different route to work, we try a different product, we try a different brand, it is what takes the tedious tasks in life and makes them a little more interesting.
I donât have a magic wand when it comes to sexual compatibility, I donât have the answer but I will say that I totally believe that in order for a relationship to succeed in all aspects communication is the key. Â To be able to tell your partner what your needs are without them criticising you or belittling you or making you feel stupid or having a fight because you have voiced your opinion is important. Â
Next time your partner is asking you to try something different or is expressing to you their needs for more touching, more kissing, more oral or extra foreplay then give it a go. Â You might actually surprise yourself and enjoy it!
